David Martinez was elected Mayor of Robstown in 2023. Mayor Martinez was born and raised in the town he serves, Robstown, Texas.
Mayor Martinez has been actively involved in his local community for many years. Prior to becoming Mayor, he served as Commissioner for the Nueces County Drainage District # 2 for three years. Most of Mayor Martinez’s career was dedicated to the Port of Corpus Christi where he invested 32 years of service as the Senior Vessel Traffic Controller from 1990 until his retirement in April 2022. It was in December of 2023 that the citizens of Robstown took to the polls and elected David Martinez as Mayor to their beloved city. Mayor Martinez has taken his job as Mayor to heart and has devoted himself to the success and future of Robstown. Mayor Martinez acknowledges the opportunity to represent the City does not happen alone, but with his wife Priscilla and family and their faith, aim to move the city forward with stride and valor. When the Mayor isn’t leading the city or attending numerous community events and activities, Mayor Martinez is grateful to spend time with his family.
